Account

I can't sign in. Make sure you're using the same email or Apple ID you signed up with. If you used Sign in with Apple and chose "Hide My Email", Apple generated a private relay address — use that same method to sign in again. Still stuck? Email us at hello@yachtie.co with the email address you tried.

How do I delete my account? Open the Yachtie app → Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account. Deletion is immediate. If you can't access the app, email privacy@yachtie.co from the email address associated with your account and we'll process it for you.

How do I change my email or name? You can edit your name and most profile details directly in the app. Email changes are handled through your sign-in provider (Apple) or by contacting privacy@yachtie.co.

Privacy and Data

How do I download my data? In the app: Settings → Privacy → Download My Data. The download link expires after 24 hours. You can request one export per 24-hour period.

How do I opt out of analytics? Settings → Privacy → toggle off analytics.

How do I control location sharing? Settings → Location sharing → Off / Friends / On. Default is Off. Your displayed location is always approximated to roughly a 1 km radius — we never share your precise coordinates.

Who can see my CV? Only employer-side users (captains, heads of department) you've authorised. Every access is logged — you can see who viewed your CV and when in the CV Access Log.

Reporting

Something's broken — how do I report a bug? Email hello@yachtie.co with: a short description, what you were doing, your iOS version, your Yachtie app version (Settings → About), and a screenshot if you have one.

I want to report another user. In the app: open their profile → tap the menu → Report. For urgent safety concerns, email hello@yachtie.co with "URGENT" in the subject line.

I found a security issue. Please email privacy@yachtie.co with details. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will respond quickly.
